John Gregory "Greg" Bain

Debbie and I have been married since 1977, right after we graduated from college (me - Baylor, her - SFA). We came to Louisville, KY that year and have remained. My subsequent degrees are from Southern Baptist Seminary (M.Div.) in Louisville and Eden Theological Seminary (D.Min.) in St. Louis. After a brief time as a chaplain, I served the rest of my career as a UCC (Congregational) pastor, mostly at one church (34 years at Grace Immanuel UCC, Louisville). Our congregation was very involved in ecumenical urban ministries, Habitat for Humanity, and refugee sponsorships. Debbie was a Child Protective Services supervisor for three decades. We are both retired and now enjoy time with three granddaughters who live in the area. I am an avid cyclist and also still enjoy backpacking and camping.
